The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will develop features and fix bugs for Red Hat OpenShift, including OpenShift Hive and Cloud Credential Operator projects.
What you will do
Be responsible for writing code to implement the features and fix bugs, including mass installation of OpenShift clusters (Hive) and how Red Hat OpenShift interacts with Cloud provider permission schemes (Cloud Credential Operator)
Work closely with OpenShift Quality Engineering to ensure features are correctly implemented and bugs are resolved
Ensure there is continuous integration coverage for the full range of features implemented in OpenShift Hive and in Cloud Credential operator
Review code contributed by colleagues and by external contributors as a prerequisite for that code being accepted
Collaborate with the support organization to ensure the effective resolution of issues affecting customer's deployments, including real-time diagnostics and root cause analysis
Contribute to upstream documentation for the community of contributors and users
Work closely with OpenShift Documentation team to ensure that features and bugs are well- documented and easy to understand for customers
Consult with internal stakeholders in other departments to ensure the software design meets their needs and performs as expected
Deploy code to production for Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated, coordinating this deployment with other departments
Be responsible for monitoring the production systems and responding to alerts and questions as needed
