Engineering Principal Product Manager

About the Position:

Join an agile self-motivated team responsible for the development and implementation of advanced systems for ground combat vehicles. The function of XM30 Deputy Product Manager is to lead a cross-functional team to coordinate activities for US based ground combat platforms and managing execution of project scope to meet all commitments.

• 9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off)

Responsibilities:

• Lead execution of all scope across IPTs

• Responsible for meeting or exceeding cost, schedule and quality commitments

• Lead project planning, tracking and control activities

• Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships

• Ensure all work products and deliverables are completed on time and meet quality requirements

• Manage and mitigate execution risks

• Support internal & external customer reviews

• Support business pursuits with engineering estimates and proposals

• Support negotiation of requirements, scope and deliverables

• Brief senior leadership routinely on execution status

Requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field. Other degrees will be considered with relevant experience.

• 10+ years of relevant experience

• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships

• Demonstrated ability to form and lead teams

• Experience in leading design, development and integration of complex systems

• Proven leadership skills and competencies

• Ability to identify emerging risks and develop corrective actions and/or mitigation plans

• Must have excellent analytical, planning and problem solving skills

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills

• Must have excellent business acumen and negotiating skills

• Ability to travel as needed

• This position requires eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
