Job Summary

The Engineering Operations Coordinator is a proactive member of the Operations Team responsible for leading and executing the implementation of projects of moderate technical scope, and providing general project management support to the operations team.

Essential Job Duties and

  • Responsible for leading the implementation of Engineering Change Orders, Non-Conformance reports, Manufacturing Instructions/Procedures, etc. via active interfacing with engineering, operations, purchasing, etc.

  • Lead technical projects of moderate scope, under the general guidance and supervision of engineering

  • Timely and effective implementation of assigned projects via frequent meetings with Manufacturing/Engineering personnel

  • Collect engineering/operations Data and generate reports, under the general supervision of engineering

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions and provide recommendations for operational improvements

Other duties may be assigned as required

Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience executing the above listed responsibilities preferred

  • Must be familiar with the following or proficient with operating similar software: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Preferred Skill and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Technical or Project Management discipline

  • Project Management Skills

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • An aptitude to perform detail oriented work requiring a high degree of accuracy along with timely processing. Ability to recognize issues and offer recommendations to resolve the. High proficiency in computer skills with the ability to generate department metrics and perform data comparisons as needed.

As a Security Engineer, you help protect network boundaries, keep computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and provide security services to protect highly sensitive data like passwords and customer information. Security Engineers work hands-on with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. You also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities. You are a recognized expert in at least two security domains and use your leadership skills to manage a team that sets the direction and goals for solving Google-wide problems. You identify fundamental security problems at Google and drives major security improvements in Google infrastructure. As the Manager of the Android Security team, you will lead a group of highly motivated Security Engineers who work on protecting billions of users from Malware and other harmful applications. You will inspire and grow the team and enable effectiveness and efficiency by providing thought leadership, execution excellence and people management guidance. In addition to the management duties, you will also make technical contributions to the team and often take the lead role in driving complex technical projects for curbing Malware & other potentially harmful applications end to end. Minimum qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience * 5 years of experience in application-level vulnerability testing, code-level security auditing * Experience with Java Preferred qualifications: * Prior experience leading security engineering teams * Experience with developing or analyzing Android applications * Experience reading assembly and understanding of unpacking obfuscated code * Experience with static and dynamic analysis of malicious binaries * Familiarity with tools such as IDA Pro or OllyDbg * Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate technical concepts with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders * Demonstrate strong functional leadership by mentoring engineers, setting technical direction and priorities for the team * Design solutions that enable automatic identification of harmful or unwanted Android applications * Analyze harmful or unwanted Android applications to understand their behavior and their impact on the Android ecosystem * Conduct investigations to identify new harmful behaviors, enforce product policies, and analyze distribution trends * Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Policy and Legal to update policies, fix product loopholes, and provide users with a better mobile experience Google Inc.
