This Engineering Manager manages a high performance team of Systems Integration Engineers and Technical Staff that lead Proven Function Operability Development (PFOD), the Airplane Configuration Management Board (ACMB), Problem Report (PR's) process, Regression testing & Squawkopoly for the 777-9 & 777-8F programs. Communicates, instructs, leads and integrates Systems inputs for Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) deliverables, certification activities, Risk Issue and Opportunity (RIO) management. Provides Systems functional teams with Systems Technical Project Managers (TPM's) ensuring complex cross functional projects are integrated and executed to successful completion. Interacts with the FAA as needed to support Program TIA activities. Generates metrics, charts and key performance indicators (KPI) for Systems leadership. Identifies opportunities and facilitates the development of processes, tools and training to optimize Systems organization performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in either engineering, mathematics, physics, or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering position.

  • 1+ years' experience leading engineering teams: manager, temporary supervisor, or engineering lead.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

  • Certification experience

  • Software development experience

  • Project management

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.

Summary pay range: 122,000 - 217,400
