Description and Responsibilities:

The Quote To Cash (QTC)/ Engineering team is seeking a first-line manager to help manage the QTC release engineering team and help build a new DevOps team managing the stacks on AWS.

Your charter will be three-fold:

As a leader, you will strive to be a Multiplier, and constantly looking for ways to make other teams successful. You will be able to communicate clearly to everyone from Executives to individual contributors and have experience working in Agile environments.

With an insatiable desire to learn, and leveraging the analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills that you have learned through your Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, or another equivalent field, you will be lead cross-functional teams and deliver [r]evolutionary solutions.

As the QTC Release Manager at Salesforce you are responsible for the continuous delivery of application releases supporting mission critical services used by the world's largest enterprises. You will use agile methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead deployments of major product releases, weekly patches for the Quote to Cash product line. You will also help deliver integration of the CI/CD systems with the Salesforce ecosystem, leveraging the best practices followed by the rest of Salesforce.

As the DevOps manager, you will have an opportunity to nurture and grow a new created team comprising of software engineers, system admins and network engineers into a true DevOps team that will be responsible for the application, release, deployment, and monitoring of the stacks on AWS.

You will also drive the release management and engineering activities related to major releases and patches.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years of prior management experience - release engineering and/or DevOps

  • Bachelor's Degree in CS or any engineering discipline / equivalent experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to details

  • Experience working on AWS technologies

  • At least 1-2 years of CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Teamcity, etc)

  • Agile/Kanban methodology experience

  • Experience/knowledge working

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working with New Relic, PagerDuty and Sumo Logic

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field

  • Experience with monitoring, alerts, and logging tools

  • LI-Y
