Description:

  • Must have good experience as Engineer Manager with Aerospace industry

  • Good experience with Catia, and other CAD/CAM systems

  • Must have experience with MRP or ERP systems

  • Good experience in Developing and establishing engineering standards, guides the team on requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations

  • Machining background is must

  • GD&T experience is must

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

VIEW JOBS 12/5/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-04T00:00 Distinguishing Features of Work Benefits Supplemental Questions This is routine civil engineering work of a sub-professional nature performed in the field or office. Employees perform manual tasks in survey parties; simple tracing, drafting, and computing work not requiring previous specialized training or experience; inspection assignments related to enforcing adherence to specifications, lines, and grades established by contractors; and/or inspection related to enforcing adherence to materials quality and design specifications. Work requires application of basic engineering skill. The degree of supervision given depends upon the technical difficulty of each assignment, but employees are expected to perform routine tasks independently. Specific assignments are received from a supervisor and are accompanied by detailed directions when work is other than routine. These employees have no supervisory responsibilities. Examples of Work Performed: * Reduces field notes; prepares cross-section plans and profile drawings. * Makes mathematical calculations and computations. * Operates snow removal equipment during snow operations, as needed. * Acts as a survey party worker: holds a sight rod or level rod, runs one end of chain, uses line staff to indicate a point or places staff where directed by party chief, carries equipment. * Inspects, tests, and accounts for material delivered to the job. * Performs inspection assignments to insure that proper amounts of aggregate and cement are used in construction projects and checks for proper grade. * Assists in testing construction materials: collects samples, makes up test cylinders, bars and samples, assists in operating testing equipment. * These examples are not intended to be all-inclusive. * Other related duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements of Work: * Knowledge of surveying or drafting instruments and methods. * Ability to make routine engineering computations. * Ability to quickly learn work-related mathematics and to make computations rapidly and accurately. * Ability to quickly learn to use construction principles and practices, construction materials, tools and equipment. * Ability to lean and reach as needed to read and interpret building plans and specifications from a print that may be as large as 36 by 48 inches with information printed as small as twenty characters per inch. * Ability to traverse uneven terrain, climb steps or ladders, and tolerate airborne environmental nuisances associated with construction sites. * Ability to sense approaching traffic while working in streets. * Ability to periodically be confined to close quarters such as walking through 42 inch pipe or crawling into manholes for short periods of time. * Ability to quickly learn work-related mathematics and to make computations rapidly and accurately. * Ability to work outdoors when inclement weather conditions exist. * Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, representatives of other organizations, and the public. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. * Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license. * An employee shall not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace. Required Experience and Training: One and one-half years of engineering technical support work; must possess current American Concrete Institute (ACI) certification, or provide evidence of previous attainment of certification, or must attain certification within six months of hire. An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
