The Engineering Manager is a pivotal role responsible for leading the Engineering group in the application of aerospace primary and secondary flight control components and high-voltage electrical distribution panels. In this role, the Engineering Manager makes strategic and operational decisions related to product development and project management, focusing on both new and established aircraft hydraulic mechanical actuation systems, as well as associated electronic systems and controls. Close collaboration with the parent company's engineering team and proactive communication with customers are essential aspects of this role. Possess a robust understanding of the aerospace product development process, substantiated by a track record of hands-on contributions to successful development projects. This includes experience in systems development, integration, and certification testing of aircraft, encompassing Flight Control Systems (FCS) and Electrical Distribution Equipment (EDE).
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, fostering transparent and productive communication within a highly organized work environment.
Ensure rigorous compliance with product configuration standards through effective management of a well-established document and data control system.
Assume accountability for technical matters related to customers and suppliers, actively collaborating with the parent company and its customers to resolve MRO and MRB dispositions.
Exhibit a profound grasp of the design principles and operational intricacies of Flight Controls Actuation systems and Electrical Distribution Panels employed in aircraft.
Possess experience in conducting Failure Investigations, including proficiency in root cause determination and the implementation of corrective actions.
Champion the identification and implementation of product improvement initiatives.
Display familiarity with various engineering and simulation analyses, including those related to performance, reliability & safety, FMEA, and FEA.
Have at least 5 years of proven experience in aerospace project management, demonstrating planning and leadership skills.
Showcase strong people management abilities and effective customer service competencies.
Exhibit highly effective communication skills (both verbal and written) to facilitate the exchange of critical information and contribute to the formulation of professional technical proposals.
Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
Boast a substantial background with at least 15 years of experience in hydraulic Flight Controls Actuation or an equivalent field.
