Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing strategic projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

• Experience with infrastructure management tools and automation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

Google Assistant works on a myriad of devices including TVs, Phones, Speakers, Games, Set Top Boxes, Browsers, Appliances, and Robots all through a voice interface. Powering all of this is the Assistant Platform, including the data that personalizes the responses. This leads to unique and difficult challenges with making a product work across multiple surfaces and product needs, while continuing to make the platform simpler.

In this role, you will join a highly collaborative, globally distributed team of Software Engineers working to improve the Google Assistant infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Manage the Data Circulation team of Software Engineers.

• Create a vision and charter for the Data Circulation team.

• Work with two Technical Leads to deliver on the existing roadmaps and work of the team.

• Grow and develop the Engineers on the team, empowering them in their work.

• Lead the team in simplifying and reducing the scope of the existing infrastructure they own and maintain.
