Vertebrae is seeking a well-organized, hands-on, customer-centric engineering manager in the e-commerce industry.
This position will start as a fully-remote position, but as guidelines and a return to the office become a possibility, this position will convert to on-site in either our Austin, TX office or our Los Angeles, CA office.
This position offers a unique blend of front-end development, managerial duties and customer-facing operations.
The managerial day-to-day focuses on coaching the existing members of the implementation team, process and standard definition, performance management and overall technical ownership of our customer implementation work stream.
The Vertebrae platform's experiences are injected via a JS snippet placed on the customers e-commerce page. Due to the varying nature of these e-commerce sites and the proposed UX, there is development work needed in order to ensure that our 3D and AR players are embedded and functioning as expected. Not only are technical skills important for this role, but non-technical skills such as project management and clear communication are an absolute necessity.
This role will report to the head of engineering, as well as the operations team. This role will work closely with the customer success team, finance, engineering and operations to effectively own all technical portions of our customer implementations.
