Engineering Manager I - Lab

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

This role will be responsible for daily operations, scheduling, and general oversight of the lab technicians and equipment. Candidate should have experience with AC motors and controls and basic troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of dynamometers, environmental chambers, ECAT, EMI, and thermodynamics is required. Attention to detail and time management skills are necessary to work in this face paced environment.

Major Responsibilities:

• Oversee lab work schedule and priority matrix

• Coach and assist in training of technicians

• Conduct weekly lab review session with stakeholders

• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and schedule semi-annual calibration services

• Adhere to 6S standards and review sessions

• Drive Agency compliance reviews and maintain records

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

• Engineering degree or equivalent preferred

• Solid understanding of the Commerical Solutions products

• 5+ years of experience in Engineering/Lab role.

• Ability to foster collaboration across teams, leading by example through knowledge sharing and cooperation .

• Individual must be proactive, and have strong problem solving skills

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
