Facebook is looking for exceptionally talented and experienced Engineering Manager to join the Marketing Intelligence engineering team in Menlo Park, California, or Austin, Texas. Our team provides scaled insights for our advertisers globally, and partners with key stakeholders in Facebook including sales, Marketing Science, Marketing, Ads Products and Infra teams. We embrace entrepreneurs as well as those who come from more established organizations. Solutions Engineering Managers are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience, cross-functional leadership, and demonstrated progression in management responsibility. You have also kept your coding skills sharp and bring an unwavering passion for managing the dynamics of a fast-paced environment.


  • Recruit, inspire, and develop team members, effectively supporting a medium-sized engineering team.

Be a combination of a highly-technical hands-on software engineer and an effective people manager.

Hold your own in technical discussions, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence.

Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive solve business problems via engineering efforts.

Work together with product management and UX design teams to design and develop front-end interfaces, underlying APIs and backend systems across different programming languages.

Encourage a data-driven culture to improve the efficiency, scalability, stability and security of business applications and in-house systems to help scale the company.

Understand business needs, context and gaps and creatively come up with possible solutions to problems by leveraging software/infrastructure knowledge.


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or quantitative disciplines such as math, statistics, computer science, information systems
    7+ years work experience including at least 2 years of direct people management experience

Experience with engineering disciplines, systems testing and design


  • Object oriented experience

As a Technical Partner Manager (TPM) you will be the key services point of contact for the day-to-day issue management of all the major API Developers and Insights Partners. You'll partner with them to understand their business and strategic needs, and enable their success by providing consultative services and creative solutions to challenging product and technical issues. As an expert on the Facebook APIs, you'll engage with Product and Engineering as a client advocate, and work closely with the Marketing Partner Program team to monitor the pulse of your client's business. RESPONSIBILITIES * Act as a dedicated service-side point of contact for Facebook and Instagram's API Developers and Insights partners Work closely with Marketing Science and internal PMs to understand how clients can best use insights to further drive performance of their business metrics Manage technical and product issues, delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction Conduct high-impact services including customized product training, account reviews, feature request prioritization, and on-site visits Become an expert in the Ads API, Insights API, FBX, our products, and your customers to provide effective operational and technical consultation Serve as the liaison between the client and the Marketing Partner Program, Product, and Engineering teams Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences Represent the client as the technical relationship manager, working closely with the business relationship manager MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics or related field 4+ years work experience, including a minimum of 2 years experience in software development, technical account/partner management, tool development, product management, engineering, or developer advocacy Experience working with SQL and APIs Experience understanding, reproducing, and driving bugs and other issues with the Engineering team Problem-solving and analytical experience Knowledge in Facebook and Instagram PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Ad Tech experience General knowledge of measurement methods and technologies, including familiarity with survey research methods and considerations Affinity for technology and sharp/business savvy Facebook Menlo Park CA
