Eaton's eMobility Division is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team. This position will be based in Southfield, MI.

Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for leading key advanced development and technical acquisitions with global OEMs. In this role, you will understand key customer trends and promote them within product development, sales and strategy teams. The Engineering Manager will communicate and represent eMobility products & solutions to all levels at the customer. The ultimate objective is to develop strong relationships and to grow the eMobility business at the customer

In this function you will:

  • Serves as the initial technical interface externally to global OEM customers and internally to sales and strategy.

  • Understands and presents technology and product roadmap to customers.

  • Leads pre-acquisition activities with global OEM customers.

  • Develop and implement new business acquisition strategies

  • Collect customer requirements and steers internal advanced product and technology development activities

  • Supports the acquisition/pursuit and sales team.

  • Supports the strategy and sales team to develop product technology roadmap and define quote readiness

  • Prepares presentations to effectively communicate status, highlights/disappointments, risks, mitigation plans to executive leadership

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in propulsion domain

  • Minimum of 3 years in the eMobility space

  • Minimum of 5 years in engineering product development

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 10 years experience in propulsion domain
  • 5 years in the eMobility space
  • 5 years experience in sales or business development

Position Criteria:

  • Willing to travel 25%

The eMobility Account Manager is responsible for the attainment of eMobility Product Line sales and profitability targets within multiple accounts in North America. In this function you will: * Formulate a sales strategy for the related products and customers and drive its implementation throughout the organization including cross-functional responsibility * Manage and prioritize the opportunity and pursuit pipeline for the dedicated products, projects and customers within the Product Line * Maintain the quotation process and maximum pursuit conversion rate-to-wins * Develop accurate business cases with support of all relevant functions such as Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance from RFQ to management approval * Be the sales related interface to the global account management team of Eaton's Vehicle & Electrical groups * Ensure contracts terms for new projects are negotiated to maximize the benefit of Eaton (prices, costs, volumes, warranties, raw material price clause, intellectual property, design ownership, etc.) * Develop and control the customer-related pricing strategy * Be responsible for the serial and project related price negotiations according to target from pre-RFQ phase until end of production (EOP) * Identify and focus on new market opportunities to grow the business, which, includes selling existing products into new customers and identification of new product opportunities * Represent the company at senior levels within the customer base and internally to ensure the image of Eaton is maintained and enhanced as an aid to achieving sales targets. Qualifications Basic (Required) Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution * Minimum of three (3) years of sales or account management experience and five to seven (5 – 7) years of experience in the automotive industry * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
