THE ROLE

You will contribute to product strategy, manage your goals and help develop and optimize your team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Manage engineering team, set OKRs, structure and mentor engineers.

  • Manage technical tasks for your product and be ultimately responsible for their planning and execution.

  • Make strategic decisions on technical problems for high-scale products.

  • Collaborate with other teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience required

  • 10+ years of experience in the industry with 3+ of technical leadership and people management

Preferred Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of technical leadership and people management of 10+ engineers

VIEW JOBS 9/24/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-12-23T00:00 A key member of the El Segundo SC2 Software Department, this position will serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) for Project Management. This individual will: Oversee and manage the lifecycle and operation aspects of projects, and liaises between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Provides the support for establishing and maintaining the program Integrated master Schedule (IMS). Review status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports and analysis such as critical path and variance analysis. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Regularly interacts and interfaces with program management. Able to understand common program management disciplines and support participation in IMS reviews, Risk/Opportunity management, financial reports, EACs, PMRs, TIMs, PDR/CDR support. Lead strategy for creation, management, and execution of the software project management strategy across the spectrum of programs to ensure program performance from the front end of the business through contract closure. Provide and/or assign comprehensive support for Gates 0-11 actions and ensure IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable. Key activities typically include: financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material sales forecasts, etc.) Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM). Weekly responsibilities include headcount variances against the LRE reported headcount, headcount monitoring (watching control accounts and comparing against budget), EV status, support business review, creating management presentations, and supporting risk and opportunity meetings. Monthly responsibilities include BCRs, QBDs, WBS dictionary updates, VARs, Corrective Action status, LRE, TCPI variances, metrics updates, SMR and PMR presentations. Quarterly responsibilities include EACs and IWA updates. Occasional responsibilities include SOW updates, name runs, and metrics analysis.
