Your Role

Join Atlas Copco Comptec LLC as an Engineering Manager where you will manage personnel in the execution of engineering activities related to the manufacturing of engineered to order centrifugal compressors. You will also ensure accurate release of engineering deliverables within the specified budget. As part of the Core Engineering Team, you will report to the Core Operations Manager. You will have three Engineering Team Leaders who report directly to you, who each lead a team of engineers and designers. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY.

• You will support the project management department with technical discussions.

• You will oversee engineering activities that includes assigning work to teams based on capacity and project requirements.

• You will coordinate with the Project Managers to ensure customer commitments and project goals are met.

• You will monitor engineering progress and budgets, taking action when needed.

• You will help resolve quality escapes, propose, and implement containment plans to ensure the highest quality of engineering deliverables.

• You will adapt the engineering process to improve efficiency.

• You will mentor, train, and coach engineering staff and support professional development.

• You will coordinate actives between engineering, internal vendors, and customers.

• You will provide technical support for manufacturing, service, and sourcing.

• You will coordinate with other Atlas Copco entities globally on best practices and common tools.

To succeed, you will need

• You hold at least a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

• You have 5 or more years of experience leading an engineering team.

• You have experience delivering on assigned goals.

• You have an understanding of integrally geared technologies, centrifugal compressors, and technical specifications of turbomachinery.

• The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $145,000 annually.
