Are you interested having a summer internship at a dynamic, inclusive, and growing professional organization? Raytheon Intelligence and Space is looking for a summer intern at the incoming Freshman or Sophomore grade level by Fall 2021 to join our team in support of the APG 65/73 Radar Repair program. This program returns repair radars back to A condition and readies them for redeployment into the field.
The duties for the internship include researching parts for DMSMS purposes, interacting with suppliers and also includes, but is not limited to:
Review field support requirements, recommend tools, and test equipment.
Establish calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks.
Assist in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
Contribute to proposal efforts associated with managing / executing ILS elements and tasks.
The successful candidate will work very closely with the RTS Program Engineer, Program Management Office (PMO) and Whole Life Engineering Lead to execute tasks described above and as a key member of the Integrated Project Team.
Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:
Responsibility for researching parts and providing analysis
Responsibility for communicating research results in writing via tabular form
Responsibility to participate in peer reviews of technical documentation
Responsibility to collaborating with teammates and program leadership
For Multi-Level Intern Requisitions:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient use of Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
Understanding of and ability to read engineering drawings
Experience researching hardware and software obsolescence
Experience using parts databases and tools
Experience with conducting obsolescence parts investigation requests
Knowledge of with radar systems
Knowledge in the lifecycle of production, repair, spares, and upgrades of depot repair items
Knowledge in the development and maintenance of engineering documentation
Knowledge of the engineering change proposal (ECP) processes
