Job Summary

The Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is an accelerated program for recent college graduates with proven ability to excel in today's fast-paced world. The program will provide graduates who wish to pursue a career in Engineering the opportunity to gain exposure in the various aspects of Engineering within a global manufacturing organization. The ELD Program is designed to develop high caliber individuals into future leaders who will be driven by our purpose and led by our vision. The ELD Program will build on participant's skills by providing exposure to experienced Pentair professionals through various manufacturing and service center locations.

The ELD Program is a three year program consisting of three, 12 month rotations within two+ locations. Participants will be rotating through several different facets of the engineering functions based on business needs and individual career aspirations. Rotation locations include sites within the United States. Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.

Rotation examples and post program roles include:

  • Manufacturing Engineering

  • Product Engineering

  • Project Engineering

  • Quality Engineering

  • Value Engineering

Job Requirements & Skills

  • Possess or be in your last year of pursing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical or Software Engineering from an accredited university

  • Previous internship, co-op, and/or industry work experience is required

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in Engineering

  • Desire to grow within Pentair's Engineering organization upholding the Win Right values

  • Strong leadership and teambuilding skills

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to multitask and problem solve

  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills

  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

This five- to six-year program provides a broad perspective of Ecolab, and the opportunity to gain detailed knowledge to develop the fundamental skills needed for a successful career. Participants will receive assignments within a variety of manufacturing, logistics, quality, procurement, or engineer-focused positions. You will have a dedicated manager and peer associate to support your development and technical training as you cultivate your leadership skills. As your future with Ecolab unfolds, expect your initial rotation to be at one of our key plants in North America and subsequent relocation in 2-4 years. You will be supported with a relocation allowance. Potential assignments within the program could include: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR In this role you will drive daily manufacturing operations to deliver targeted safety, quality, production, and cost results. You will gain knowledge in executing the plan, functional area knowledge, production procedures, and managing, assets and quality. You will also develop your management skills as you learn the skill of leading and motivating your team to be successful to execute the plan. LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR In this role, you will supervise logistics activities (storage, shipping) including inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning, and order processing and customer service. You will also develop your management skills as you learn the skill of leading and motivating your team to be successful to execute the plan. PRODUCTION PLANNER As a production planner you will identify strategies for the on-time delivery of product based on trends in material supply, manufacturing capacity and customer demand. You will gain knowledge in creating a plan, capacity review and management, demand planning, parameter management, forecasting systems, product life-cycle, root cause analysis and new product introduction. QUALITY ENGINEER In this role you will promote continuous improvement in quality, process control and material efficiency based on statistical analysis of manufacturing and systems capabilities. You will gain knowledge in quality process and metrics, problem solving driven from complaints, ISO systems and producing products within specifications. PROJECT ENGINEER As a project engineer you generate ideas, develops capital approval requests and ensures assigned projects are implemented on-time and within budget. You will gain knowledge in project planning, project management, managing external resources, and equipment reliability, while you create a vision and implement best practices. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree * Anticipated graduation date of December 2018 or May 2019. * No immigration sponsorship provided for this role.
