Job Summary:

Responsible for providing engineering assistance to the Facilities Manager on a variety of assignments relating to facilities and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for specific engineering projects per the Facilities Manager's direction.This includes organizing, facilitating and implementing all aspects of the project.

  • Review engineering data and complies list of materials, parts and equipment required for project.

  • Responsible for ordering parts and certain materials based on stockroom and process needs.

  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules

  • All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:

(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)

  • Student enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program through an accredited institution or a recent college graduate with a degree in the engineering discipline

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace

VIEW JOBS 3/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-19T00:00 JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for sustaining tool performance and continuity of operation at our Green Island facility through management of the preventive and corrective maintenance system. Directly involved in new equipment specification, and subsequent installation. Works closely with manufacturing personnel to solve problems, minimize disruptions to production, and to perform preventive maintenance and critical repairs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Interface closely with manufacturing to ensure that tools are available for production and utilities are delivered to process equipment in a stable and continuous manner. * Establish, implement, and report metrics of preventative maintenance (PM) activities on facility and production equipment. * Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with operation and process engineering teams. Ensure inventory of critical spare parts are on hand to minimize production disruptions. Maintain documentation of equipment installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting activities. * Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, programming, installation or other activities as necessary to enable safe quality manufacturing activities. * Ability to set up processing activities using LabVIEW programming as well as the ability to troubleshoot and correct LabVIEW programming based upon the needs of process engineering. * Develop and provide training as needed for existing, modified or new equipment or systems. * Oversight of equipment related projects including the coordination and scheduling of construction and equipment upgrades with Process Engineering and Operations. Including operational testing of new or modified equipment before handing off to production or engineering for production qualification. * Collaborate with Management, Operations and Process Engineering teams to develop equipment specifications for next generation production tools. * Interface closely with Operations to ensure the manufacturing facility is performing and/or expanding in a reliable and cost-effective manner. Including the development and implementation of improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability. * Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity. * Main point of contact for technical assistance with the installation and maintenance of facility and manufacturing equipment. Primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns. Root cause analysis of equipment malfunctions and failures, implement corrective and preventative actions derived from the analysis. * Available 24x7 as technical support for troubleshooting equipment. MINIMUM EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar technical area of study. * Minimum of 2 years of Electrical, Mechanical and Control systems experience in industrial applications within a manufacturing environment. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings, technical manuals and operations specifications. * Experience in controls theory, and programming with LabVIEW * Demonstrated work performance in a fast-paced environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and timeliness. * Requires an understanding and experience in complex mechanical systems such as: chiller plants, cooling water, electrical, emergency generator, compressed gas and HVAC make up and recirculation air systems. * Self-motivated and results-oriented with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities. * Self-starter and a team player with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Fluent in English Language written & verbal * Have a functional understanding of permits and compliances. * Must have basic MS Office application skills * Preferred experience with industrial PLCs from manufactures like Allen Bradley or Siemens.
