What you'll do:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery and CMS based web applications.

  • Push the boundaries of client-side web development using the latest in web technologies.

  • Craft creative and intricate user interfaces and experiences.

  • Learn one-on-one from our full stack development team

  • Collaborate with designers, strategists, creative thinkers and technologists to architect and execute forward-thinking applications, campaigns and websites

  • Website proofing and quality assurance

  • Optimizing website content

  • Web content entry in various CMS and CRM platforms

What you bring:

  • Analytical and creative skills and the ability to balance both

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting with the ability to work constructively and creatively through issues until resolution is achieved

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS based web applications.

Lead a team of engineers driving margin improvement in the Surgical Robotics business of Medtronic. Drive strategies to deliver cost down projects on the Surgical Robotics platform including, for example, design simplification, part count reduction, and supplier consolidation . The leader will also drive end of life management and re-engineering of sub system updates with Research and Development teams. Support product line extensions and new product development. A DAY IN THE LIFE * Manage an engineering team within a larger operations team. * Create the Margin Enhancement Group, managing the vision and purpose. * Set the strategy to realize Medtronic business goals. * Led, attract, develop and retain a high performing technical team. * Coaches, motivate and foster professional development of direct reports. * Ensure alignment with business priorities. * Drive financial performance cross-functionally with other engineering teams and initiatives. * Provide leadership and direction to improve overall product quality, and value-stream efficiency. * Ensure engineering and manufacturing best practices are deployed to drive efficiency through standardization. * Provide leadership for capital operations projects, focusing on execution within time and capital constraints. * Provide leadership to implement strategies and programs to reduce operational costs year on year. * Build technical competencies (infrastructure and resources) to meet the needs of the business. * Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality & Regulatory, Logistics, and appropriate corporate teams to ensure business goals are realized. MUST HAVE Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or scientific/technical discipline or a Master's degree in a technical or business discipline. 10+ years in operations or engineering experience including multidisciplinary engineering teams with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience and 5+ years experience working in the robotics industry. Proven ability to cost down complex electro-mechanical assemblies. Must have a solid understanding of Engineering, Project Management, Lean Principles, Six Sigma, financial acumen, product development/launch, and talent development. Must be able to manage internationally and across multiple cultures.
