Engineering Intern -Air Handling

POSITION SUMMARY: The Engineering Intern will be assigned a project to complete. The Intern will work closely with their manager and their colleagues to become familiar with our business and product lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

• Complete project(s) outlined in the Project Plan developed by management

• Be flexible; able to support team in handling "short/no notice" demands

• Proactively seek work and opportunities to learn

• Professionally communicate with various levels in the organization

• Openly communicate with your manager and/or mentor regarding project status, roadblocks encountered, and goals met

• Work in an efficient and effective manner, helping to continuously improve processes at your work location

• Assimilate to Company culture and our Core Values

• Work safely (possibly around heavy equipment)

• Be a valued team member by pitching to help where needed

• Formally present project overview to Senior Leaders at Intern Closing Session at the close of the program

• Be curious and eager/open to learning new skills

• Participate in all Intern Program related activities

• Ability to transport themselves to and from work location

• Problem Solving - uses logic and methods to help solve problems.

• Must be skilled in MS Office Suite including MS Project Manager

• Must be able to complete multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer needs.

Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:

• Must be physically able to perform work assigned.

• Must be physically capable of accessing all locations at customer site.

• Access all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.

• Will be working at times in covered environment or in an outside environment.

• The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Particles.

• The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
