SUMMARY

The Engineering Coordinator is a pivotal role within the engineering department. This position ensures that all aspects of engineering projects are organized and executed efficiently. This position involves close collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to streamline project workflows, adhere to timelines, and manage resources effectively.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, and information to ensure projects proceed on time and within budget constraints.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and technicians.

  • Under engineering direction, reviews customer requirements and develops documentation, Control Plans, Process Control Documents, Bills of Materials, and Manufacturing Routers for made-to-order products using Engineering Databases and tools.

  • Review Purchase order requirements (Quality Clauses, etc.) and ensure actions are taken to comply with contracts.

  • Performs item, BOM, and router maintenance and configuration management functions in SAP (ERP).

  • Executes changes directed by Engineering Change Orders (ECO) or Design Control Routers (DCR) to update documentation revisions and ERP system information. Under engineering direction, performs updates to existing process documentation to ensure processes are updated to current standards.

  • Performs item, BOM, and router maintenance and configuration management functions in SAP(ERP).

  • Performs various engineering and Configuration management tasks as required in support of Product Engineers, such as drawing justification, validation (checking), critical design review, etc.

  • Coordinates team resources to ensure project-related tasks are completed on time.

  • Document project progress through technical reports, change orders, and timelines.

  • Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices within engineering projects.

  • Other duties as required in support of the department and the company*

The responsibilities of this role do not include supervising other employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, e.g., vocational training, is required.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering/business or a related field is preferred.

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing or engineering.

  • Background in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries favored.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Conversational in any other language is a plus.

JOB SKILLS

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Project Management software.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry's legal rules and guidelines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

As part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reaching at or below shoulder level, and keyboarding. According to ADA regulations, reasonable accommodation will be provided to ensure that individuals with disabilities can perform the job's essential functions.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.

  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.

  • Hearing protection in specific locations.

  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
