The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Coordinator to join our team in Thomastown VIC, Eagle Farm QLD or Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent Fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Manager - Engineering Design, you will provide key functional technical project control and resource planning expertise and plan engineering design projects portfolio for the Networks Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in support of the management of Engineering Planning and Scheduling systems including Engineering resource planning and resource forecasting to meet business demand

  • Ensure that planning systems, including information systems, are in accordance with APA standards and business needs

  • Frequent collaboration with project teams and engineers to understand their needs towards planning and provide necessary technical support

  • Work with project sponsors and Capital delivery to plan out 12 months look ahead Projects forecast and constantly update the changes to the forecast plan that affects engineering resource availability

  • Report on resource planning, Resource demand forecasting, and engineering progress across projects to Team leads and Management.

Your background

  • Strong knowledge of Project, Resource Planning and Scheduling

  • Proficiency in work with planning tools such as (Jira, MS project , Power apps, MAXIMO and Workday) and make necessary adjustments Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions

  • Willing to be innovative and provide solutions to manage conflicting priorities and continuously improve the planning

  • Very Effective communication skills that encourage collaboration with project teams to obtain required data for successful planning.

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
