We are looking for an Engineering Coordinator to join our Hardware and Reliability Engineering department. In this role you will prepare and assemble technical manuals, technical documents, and documentation kits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Fulfilling Work Orders for the Technical Publications Department
CD burning and assembly of software and technical documentation.
Printing and assembly of technical manuals and other documentation in preparation for shipment.
Assembly of documentation kits.
Gathering materials from Receiving and the Stock Room.
Periodic inventory of document production materials.
Ordering supplies, as needed.
Creating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
May involve various other tasks that the Technical Writers need assistance with.
GENERAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills: Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro and MadCap Flare is a plus
Strong organizational skills
Self-Management
Communication skills written and verbal
Ability to read and interpret engineer drawings a plus
Job Requirements
Individual must understand how to navigate project drives and files in Microsoft Explorer. Individual should also be familiar with navigating basic tasks in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
A familiarity with Adobe FrameMaker and MadCap Flare is a plus but is not a requirement. Individual should have a high attention to detail and be able to follow specific instructions independently.
Workdays can be flexible.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months to a year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The incumbent must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position is an office-based position with visits to the manufacturing area. In the manufacturing area, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and may occasionally be exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud.
