Engineering Construction Inspector

Job Description Job Description Century West Engineering Corporation is seeking full-time, temporary construction inspectors with two or more years of experience in an engineering inspection position in the field of airport, transportation, and/or utilities construction. Inspectors will report to senior staff in our Portland, Oregon office but may work on projects statewide.

Benefits: Paid sick leave accrues at a rate of 1.33 (1 1/3) hours per 40 hours worked Duties and Responsibilities: Acts as an inspector for construction projects to ensure conformance to standards including: Making computations and field notes of distances, elevations, and angles Making and checking quantity estimates Making technical observations Observing and recording results of inspections May participate in the preparation of engineering and planning maps, drawings, and exhibits Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in an engineering inspection position Experience inspecting municipal transportation and utilities projects during construction Can read and understand engineering plans and specifications Previous experience on airport projects is preferred but not required An Equal Opportunity Employer – All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected status.
