Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As ECM Coordinator you will be accountable for the assembly of the proper documentation of all change requests from initial approval until closure. The central function will be to act as liaison between internal and external Key Stakeholders, Product and Process owners, and ECM Approvers, to achieve timely Engineering Change Management implementations.

In addition, you will be the enforcement authority for Global Data Governance policies for Material Data. With your understanding of general Global Data Governance policies, you will:

  • Interpret these policies as they apply to standard Divisional practices.

  • Validate created ECRs with for accuracy and completeness; make Fast vs. Full track assessment of new ECM requests and validate as needed with key stakeholders.

  • Ensure a high degree of accuracy in ECM request packages through all stages of the ECM process, to facilitate smooth ECM implementation within the Producing Organization.

  • Work closely with Documentation Control Specialists to monitor and track ECM's. Report routinely on ECM KPI's.

  • Assist Document Control Specialists with the proper and accurate maintenance of business information within the SAP ERP database.

  • Provide routing monitoring and reporting of Material Introduction processes. Facilitate this process within the organization to ensure timely completion of new material introduction.

  • Work closely with and serve as a backup for Documentation Control Specialists.

  • Provide ongoing training on ERP system processes and practices for Documentation Control specialists and R&D Department.

  • Write and update operating procedures for existing operations as needed.

  • Participate in intra-company teams focused on Quality and Continuous Improvement (I.E. Audit or Safety)

What You Need to Succeed

  • Associate's degree in Drafting or Electronics, CAD certificate

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with mechanical CAD software and 3D modeling skills are a plus.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems, experience with SAP is a plus

  • Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio

  • Strong presentation skills.

Quality Manager develops and maintains a Production and Purchasing Quality Management System to ensure best in class quality of products and associated services and to provide highest level of value and satisfaction to our customers. Responsibilities include: developing a process quality strategy and implementation plan with clear quantified benefits with an emphasis on standardized repeatable processes. Provide knowledge of best practices and processes (Quality Management), analyze existing practices, collect data, and implement solutions. Provide leadership to each functional group in the area of quality assurance and planning/control; ensuring a smooth transition through product/solutions development, integration, delivery, production and support. Support ISO processes between departments. \n \n Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to): \n \n * Manage Quality Alert process for internal and external customer complaints, quality issues, and escalated incidents; engage cross functional team, facilitate resolution and establish containment, corrective, and preventative actions (CAPA) using 8D, 5-Why, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) process to prevent issue re-occurrence and overall process improvement. \n \n * Work with stakeholders and action owners to drive prompt action closure, review closure plans to ensure sustainability, and proactively alert leadership to risks and critical customer issues. \n \n * Establish Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities (e.g. incoming material inspection, production processes & controls, in process quality audits) to ensure the Production Quality system yields defect free products and services. \n \n * Establish a Purchasing Quality system to manage Supplier Quality, performance, and quality compliance to Purchasing agreements. Ensure quality of purchased production hardware, consumables, and material/equipment \n \n * Manage and conduct process audits, inspections, and quality reviews (e.g. project/program reviews, product quality reviews, engineering process productivity reviews, quality engineering system reviews, etc..) to ensure effective performance, durability and compliance with established standards & processes; establish & maintain ISO9001|CMMI certification \n \n * Leads the development and consistency of process Quality Controls, Procedures, and documents including: AQL Sampling Plans, FMEAs, Control Plans, Quality Inspection Standards, Work Instructions, VSM's, Visual Standards, Defect Detection tools, etc.; work closely with Engineering, Business Units, and Design staff to determine best production practices \n \n * Oversee the development of Quality Standards and Protocols for Quality Assurance Testing models. Assists in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or equipment.
