Engineering CAD Technician - Surface Transportation

ENGINEERING CAD TECHNICIAN

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named a "Zweig Group's "Best Firms to Work For." is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals is actively seeking to add a 0-4-year entry-level Engineering CAD Technician to our Surface Transportation Team. This role will support the team while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop exhibits, construction plans and models for Surface Transportation projects

• Work closely with Civil Engineers, Surveyors, and other technical staff to execute design plans is required

• Provide technical support and assistance across the team

• Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer

• Experience with Microsoft Office

Position Requirements:

• Associate degree or certificate in Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Aided Drafting, or an equivalent civil engineering/construction-related field from an accredited college or an equivalent level of prior experience.

• Proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer

• Possess general knowledge and understanding of the construction of transportation and civil infrastructure projects including the ability to clarify and interpret construction document

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
