This position is for a Engineering/Buyers assistant. Primary responsibilities will be to assist engineers and senior buyers with their daily activities, perform cycle counts as needed and other various duties. Engineering duties will be to assist engineering staff with new designs, test stand assembly/wiring, and part fabrication.
Daily duties may include:
Assists with purchase orders for parts, services and/or tools.
Inventory cycle count duties
Credit Card Statement Reconciliation
Work with engineering, project managers and suppliers, to ensure deliverables are met.
Facilitate and manage any supplier issues (i.e. cost, quality, delivery)
Vendor/Supplier order follow-up via E-mail and phone
Support Engineering Team in supplier selection and approval process
Establish and maintain sound professional relationships with suppliers.
Maintain current accurate records of all vendor related procurement records
Ensures that all necessary quotations are processed and assumptions are accurate from an Engineering/Supply standpoint
Assisting Engineers with new designs
Fabrication of prototype parts using basic machine shop equipment (manual mill, lathe, band saw, drill press, etc.)
Writing test procedures and processes
Assemlby and wiring of test stands or test fixtures
Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required
Must be able to work in a team or independently
Strong organizational skills
Experience filing documentation/paperwork
Professional communication skills, including in-person, phone and e-mail
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with MS PowerPoint, Visio, Access, OneNote, etc.
Experience in purchasing or related field and/or Electronics field
Knowledge or experience with Epicor
Ability to read blueprints or technical documents is a plus
Prior interdepartmental and/or supplier communication experience is a plus
