Engineering and Science Technical Manager

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for the execution and delivery of diverse technical engineering programs. Maintain responsibility for diverse engineering programs and strategic planning for biometrics, forensics, and custom device technologies. Leverage expertise in research and development and hardware and software engineering to provide oversight for cutting-edge computer vision, algorithm development, product development, and systems engineering projects. Interface with senior leadership to develop an engineering business strategy and meet with clients to solve complex problems. Lead the development of marketing and technical documentation to communicate technical concepts, solutions, and findings. Develop complex technical solutions to unique client problems by leveraging team capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with leading engineering or research and development (R&D) projects

  • 5+ years of experience with developing technical solutions to solve complex problems

  • 3+ years of experience with leading an engineering or research and development team

  • 3+ years of experience in interfacing with clients, customers, or end users

  • Experience with providing technological assessments of concepts and systems

  • Experience with generating technical whitepapers and leading technical proposals

  • Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Knowledge of hardware and software development

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with basic research and development

  • Experience with multiple engineering disciplines, including software, hardware, electrical, and mechanical

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing, such as a history of publications

  • Ability to estimate and cost engineering activities accurately

  • Experience in working with Agile development

  • Experience with ISO or a similar process control system

  • Active Secret clearance preferred; Top Secret clearance a plus

  • BS degree in an Engineering or Applied Science field preferred; MS or PhD degree in Engineering or Applied Science a plus

VIEW JOBS 8/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-20T00:00 The primary function of the Scientist I, Biopharmaceutical – Technical & Applications Support Center (B-TASC), is to provide technical assistance to customers (internal and external) for all Pall Biopharmaceutical technologies, through email and phone. This role will also support the other Scientific Laboratory Services (SLS) groups for site customer assistance (product trials). The Scientist I, B-TASC will participate in and contribute to infrastructure building projects for the SLS organization (e.g., enabling web-based tools). He/She will conduct and participate in training for internal and external customers. We are seeking a highly self-motivated Scientist with a strong sense of team who can work independently with minimal supervision. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Life Sciences, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in either the biopharmaceutical manufacturing or process development areas, biopharmaceutical market.
