Ball Aerospace is a prime contractor leading development teams at AFRL and NASIC. Dayton personnel develop advanced hardware and software systems and provide management services to solve customer problems and create new capabilities. This includes designing and developing software tools and threat models, performing extensive data analyses, and executing modeling and simulations using both internally developed and standard models.

What You'll Do:
Work in an open, collaborative, innovative environment.
Support research and development of software applications deployed in a cloud computing infrastructure
Learn and use a variety of state-of-the-art open source technologies to solve data analytics problems using geospatial imagery and contextual data
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule, about 15 - 20 hours per week
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
A student in their junior or senior year of college and enrolled in a technical degree program for the fall of 2018, as well as graduating seniors enrolled in a post graduate program, is preferred.
Pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar degree preferred
Ability to work well both individually and in a group.
Programming/scripting experience with one or more of the following: Python, AngularJS, Docker
Strong understanding of mathematics and statistics
Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or clean room, outdoors or remote research environment.
May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Occasional out of state travel and local commute between Ball and customer facilities will be required
