The Engineer is r esponsible for the overall development validation, the creation and documentation of modeling plans to engineering team, providing explanation of SOR or SPEC to whole group, leading failure analysis and test jig design, controlling and monitoring group workflow and quality by ISO and development schedule, developing new technology to improve development quality and efficiency.
These skills are used to work in cross functional teams within the organization to deliver products that meet customer and company requirements.
The Engineer must develop trust and teamwork, while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and achievement for all employees while utilizing clients philosophy and guiding principles for decisions and actions.
The Engineer may be required to support multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams to achieve total customer satisfaction and to meet quality standards and procedures.
Project development understanding; Knowledge of SOR or Spec, validation request
Lead project competition activities, including but not limited to OEM modeling correlation, SOR/SPEC explanation to other teams, and test schedule and capability
Control project schedules to ensure proper timing
Model setup for FEA (independently) and model checks; actively make CMs
Correlate with FEA and Test, seek root cause analysis with other teams
Make project reports and attend project meetings as need
May act as a liaison between customer and different company groups for development project administration
Assign Test/CAE checklists to V2 and V3 for model and test accuracy
Take on assigned research projects, meet the project goals
Ability to explain how his/her position impacts customer satisfaction and contributes to fulfilling quality
Conduct housekeeping for personal work area and shared facility space
Observe and comply with all safety, regulatory and statutory requirements associated with his/her job
Participate as requested in needs analysis and attend and perform the requirements of scheduled training and educational programs identified for his/her position

Assist in training and production release support if necessary.
Develop and sustain appropriate relationships with team and business partners.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
Minimum 4 year degree in Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical or related); Prefer Master's degree
Minimum 3 years of related Engineering experience
Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
Ability to plan determine priorities and effectively schedule work and to function in an organized manner that addresses critical issues and are supported by an effective plan
Strong analytical problem solving skills
Familiar to Catia or UG, Hypermesh, Nastran and Abaqus; Prefer previous experience utilizing
Knowledge of basic mechanics, GD&T for jig design and test setup
Strong Math skills
Prefer understanding/experience with DesignLife, corrosion test, and fatigue test
Understanding of FEA; prefer experience
Prefer knowledge/experience with Metal Fatigue, NVH, and automotive chassis
Computer skills Microsoft Office, Hypermesh, Nastran, Abaqus, and Matlab
Establishes aggressive, obtainable performance goals for self
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
