Position Purpose:

Provide quality engineering services to ensure that the electric power system is optimized with respect to safety, reliability, economy and efficiency. Utilize engineering techniques, principles and criteria to perform system analysis; evaluate performance; provide recommendations; and plan, design and implement additions and modifications. Perform individual and team assignments, including project management responsibilities at various stages from conceptualization to closeout, as assigned. Create and maintain technical drawings, documentation and data. Provide technical support and services for internal and external customers and stakeholders; and interface with business partners, industry peers and governing authorities.

• Design, specify and implement electric power system additions and modifications utilizing appropriate engineering techniques, principles and criteria, and best industry practices.

• Analyze electric power system capabilities; Evaluate performance; Identify and recommend improvements to meet corporate objectives for safety, reliability, economy and efficiency.

• Manage assigned projects and deliver results to meet scope, schedule, resource and budgetary requirements.

• Maintain documentation; Process data requests; Provide technical assistance and training; Provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers, stakeholders, etc.

• Achieve expertise and proficiency with products, tools, software, etc.; Develop or enhance means and methods in support of departmental responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, concentration in power systems preferred.

• Minimum two (2) years professional experience, preferably in electric utility industry or related field.

• Excellent technical aptitude, analytical capability, and math and computer skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate information and concepts to peers, management and other stakeholders.
