Overview

ENGINEER (IR/RF 2024-21839):

Bowhead is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer to support the Infrared Radio Frequency (IR/RF) Division at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Jacksonville, Florida. The Electrical Engineer will provide engineering and intigration support for the NAVAIR V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275). The V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275) is responsible for the cradle-to-grave acquisition, sustainment, development and production of the V-22 Osprey venerable tiltrotor aircraft. The V-22 Osprey is used to support the U.S. Marines, Navy, Air Force and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

• Provide engineering support and development for electrical and mechanical integration tasking for the identified system
• Provide technical support for updates or additions to Standard Operating Procedures, Test Plans and Customer Reports.
• Assisting the Government with failure investigations and root cause analysis on failed or suspect systems or components during manufacturing, test, evaluation, and qualification.
• Significant travel >50%, could be required to Patuxent River, MD or Crane, IN.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and two or more years experience.
• Experience with fight clearance process and Engineering Data Requirements Plans (EDRAP). Knowledge of Flare Dispensary.
• Specific knowledge with regards to integration of electrical and mechanical systems on board V-22 aircraft.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. Applicants who currently hold a Secret clearance are strongly encrouaged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
