The time is right to join HNTB! HNTB is currently seeking an Engineer-Traffic in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.

The ideal candidate would have some working knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD. The candidate will participate in the collection and analysis of data and the prepartion of satisfactory designs. The candidate will perform design calculations, conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct prepartion of design drawings and/or specifications.

Job Summary

Assists assigned department by performing basic engineering-related tasks including research, development, design and delivery on assigned project(s).

Essential Responsibility

  • Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projects.

  • Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans, and designs for projects.Basic Qualification Bachelor's degree in EngineeringPreferred Qualification/SkillsBachelor's degree in civil engineering Some working knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, Inroads or Civil 3D- PreferredGeneral Work Conditions Combination Office and Field Environment: Most work is performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions.

    Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work may infrequently be performed at client's job site, construction trailer, and in the field. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment and doing extensive walking. Adherence to applicable safety protocol is required.
