Track Utilities is currently seeking talented and motivated Engineer level candidates to join our Engineering team based out of our Meridian, ID office. This position is responsible for the OSP/ISP fielding, designing, and preparing documentations, maps, and drawings utilizing the latest industry & customer software systems and databases.
The perfect candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, great communication skills, excellent customer service skills, excellent OSP/ISP telecom engineering skills, uses advanced techniques & theory, precepts and practices to complete simple & complex project assignments. The engineer will adapt, follow, and modify standard techniques to solve multifaceted problems and provide expert consultation for the design, development and implementation of technical plans and systems used in the telecom industry. The engineer will also have to represent our customers with state, county, city & other agencies when dealing with permits and other issues related to the projects being worked.
Proficiency in telco industry software and databases such as: AutoCad, Visio, MicroStation, NDS, WFMT, JDS, FACS, Bidmaster and Fireworks.
Ability to read, understand, and prepare drawings, diagrams, and other documents.
Ability to research, prepare, submit, and acquire all types of permits (city, county, municipality, TCP, and specialty types: RR, BLM, Forest Service) and easements.
Responsible for reviewing and auditing project drawings, calculations & specifications before submitting to customers.
Strong knowledge, adherence and compliance with regulations as required by the state, county, city, OSHA, NESC, FCC, EPA, WECC, FERC, etc
Collaborate with multi-discipline team to ensure project success.
Ability to prepare comprehensive written and oral reports of findings, problems, and solutions.
Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work alone, in a team environment, and in variety of situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
Effectively assists in training and mentoring junior team members and CAD Drafters.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients, and external agencies.
Experienced with different Software/Database Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), AutoCAD, NDS, JDS, WFMT, Fireworks, FACS, Bidmaster.
15 - 25%.
The perfect candidate should have the following experiences and expectations:
Recent/previous experience working in the telecom industry.
B.S. in Engineering or 5 years of equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 5 years engineering (Fielding, Designing and Drafting) experience activities.
Excellent knowledge in telco engineering & construction principles & practices.
Experience and knowledge with New Developments, Subdivision and MDU designs.
Experience and knowledge with aerial, buried, and underground designs.
Experience and knowledge with Fiber, and Copper.
Experience and knowledge with FTT(X) design and deployment.
Experience and knowledge with utility Road-Move types of projects.
Excellent verbal/written communications skills.
Must have authorization to work in the US.
