What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.

Your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

How You Will Achieve It

• Manage own time, professional development, and accountable for own results.

• Provide support to the maintenance and production team to resolve problems.

• Prioritize own workflow and assist in prioritizing the workflow of less-experienced colleagues.

• Make useful recommendations regarding improved machine performance.

• Follow safety procedures, recommended practices, job safety analysis (JSA), safe work permits and complies with plant safety programs at all times.

• Coordinate maintenance and project manager activities with production personnel to minimize downtime.

• Know general shop safety practices, including handling and storage of potentially dangerous equipment.

• Ensure utility activities comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (also see cGMP) and other related regulatory practices.

• Read and follow equipment schematics, blueprints logic diagrams and engineering drawings.

• Analyze equipment and line problems and implement resolutions.

• Instruct other technicians in the intricacies of assigned machinery and equipment.

• Design and install control systems to enhance performance, and complete related corrective maintenance.

• Six Sigma manufacturing support with continuous improvements projects

• Replace of spare parts and/or cost saving projects

• Microsoft software programs, such as Excel, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Work with outside vendors and original equipment manufacturers.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• High School Diploma or GED

• 4+ years of experience

• Certification in assigned area, if applicable

• Course work {or equivalent experience} in the general or specific areas of electromechanical technology

• Knowledge of basic mathematics

• Knowledge of the general trades, that is, construction, electrical, machine shop

• Computer skills, good written and verbal English communication skills

Nice-to-Have

• Pharmaceutical and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP} operations
• ISPE membership

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to communicate, Office job involving use of computer, requires cleanroom gowning.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Requires overtime and work around production schedules and shutdowns.

The salary for this position ranges from $30.77 to $51.28 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
