GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
We are seeking a Sr. Research Engineer with specific electronics background to design, test, and validate switch-mode, Class-D shim amplifiers to use in ongoing experiments conducted by the MR Physics and Instrumentation Group at the Martinos Center. The candidate must have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent background. The engineer will work closely with Dr. Jason Stockmann on a new shim amplifier design with improved efficiency and reduced heat dissipation as compared with previous linear shim amplifiers. The project will involve testing the amplifier in the MRI scanner environment to ensure full electromagnetic compatibility with no adverse impact on image quality due to the switching electronic components.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience in Analog circuit design
Experience in Power electronics
Experience in Basic optimization
EDUCATION:
Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's Degree
Degree in Electronics Engineering required

Minimum 2 year of experience with scientific research work (in academia and/or industry) required
