Engineer

Impact

As an engineer working in the Operations/Experience Internal Tooling space you will help deliver new features and experiences to all areas of the business including Operations, Fraud, Customer Experience, Shopper Experience, and Developer Experience. Each day you will work with a team of front end engineers in a React/Typescript stack to drive solutions across multiple platforms and collaborate with back end, UX, and product teams.

As an engineer you will be expected to participate in code reviews, help mentor more junior associates, participate in sprint planning and refinement sessions, troubleshoot and debug front end issues for less technical end users, and help maintain code quality with tools like Sonarqube, Jest.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

• 2+ years of experience with React/Typescript

• Good understanding of DRY and AHA principles

• Knowledgeable regarding Typescript and implementing new interfaces and types

• Demonstrated ability working on large applications with a team

• Ability to assist less technical users in troubleshooting issues across microsystems

• Effective self-leader when chasing bugs and business problems

• An eye for critical detail vs trivial detail

• Genuine interest in developing your peers, both engineers and end users

Work Arrangement:

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Metro Areas of Los Angeles and San Francisco pay range:
