  • Strategize, plan, and conduct testing of aircraft, weapon, and munition materials and components to evaluate thermal damage effects from High Energy Lasers

  • Conduct research and development of vulnerability reduction technologies to minimize HEL damage effects

  • Conduct research and development in both office and laboratory environments

  • Predict system level effects of HEL induced damage by conducting Damage Modes and Effects Analysis, FALT analyses, and executing simulation encounters

  • Communicate project status and conclusion summaries through presentations and written reports

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field, Master's preferred, along with a minimum of 3 years of engineering or research experience in the aircraft, weapons, or munitions field
