Engineer

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in software development, engineering and technical support for digital system models.

• Working with simulations of US and foreign military aircraft and weapon systems

• Develop reports of system/model performance and provide analysis and troubleshooting of digital system/model anomalies as necessary

• Serve as a member of various working groups and maintain a collaborative working relationship with various service research laboratories

• Field information requests from various base agencies as they relate to the digital simulations

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Active SECRET clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (preferred), or a relevant technical discipline and a minimum of Five (5) or more years' experience working with software for simulations

• Matlab experience with the ability to generate reports, draw data, and provide analyses.

• Some experience with software used to support simulations

• Analytical skills and the ability to develop solutions and implement features based on customer feedback via demonstrations or input from subject matter experts

• Ability to work equally well in a team environment or independently as needed

• Self-motivated with the ability to produce deliverable effectively with little oversight

• Strong communication skills with the ability to compose presentations, White Papers, and deliver technical briefings if requested

• Some travel may be required

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline and eight (8) or more years' experience working with software for simulations

• Ability to work with or learn C++

• Experience with an object oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby)

• Some previous experience working with simulations of aircraft, missiles or weapon systems
