The position is for Quality Engineer, Level 2, located in Rancho Bernardo (San Diego area) supporting the Global Hawk Programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Tasks and responsibilities to include drawing and procedure review and approvals, Flight Readiness Reviews (FRR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), program meetings and area daily stand-ups. May be involved in generation of metrics, Material Review Board (MRB) activities and Root Cause Corrective Action activities.

Individual will have interaction with Production floor and System Integration lab personnel; interaction with inspectors, technicians, manufacturing, design and test engineering, supplier quality and government entities (DCMA/NAVAIR).

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM Field and at least 2 years of applied experience in engineering or a Master's degree

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within Aerospace environment

  • Experience with TeamCenter

  • Experience with MES, Manufacturing Execution System

  • Experience with Material Review Board process

The position is based in San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo). This position will report to the Autonomous Systems Division manager of financial planning, reporting & analysis and will have the following responsibilities: Essential Functions: * Development of the consolidated Autonomous Systems Division's Long Range Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan. * Management of program financials, including: financial and cost forecasting, reporting and analysis, profitability analysis, and working capital analysis (accounts receivable forecasting, treasury forecasting, unbilled analysis, and aged receivables analysis). * Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation. * Work with the finance and business management teams to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics. * Support the development of presentations for, and occasionally brief to, Division leadership. * Interface with business, program, and sector personnel.
