Engineer Project Manager

Position Responsibilities May Include:

• Manage and organize complex Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) projects and priorities, solve problems that impact release progress and provide detailed information to cross functional teams.

• Overseeing customization and configuration of the PLM system to meet the specific needs of the organization, including workflows, data models, and user interfaces.

• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements to the PLM system.

• Coordinate with offshore contractor team for on time deliverables as per Functional Specification Document (FSD).

• Integrating the PLM system with other enterprise systems such as Enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Computer Aided Design (CAD)

• Coordinate with application original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for required support related to problem/incident reports, licenses, legal compliance etc.

• Providing technical leadership to the PLM development team, guiding them in best practices, code reviews, and troubleshooting.

• Identifying and implementing optimizations to improve the performance and efficiency of the PLM system.

• Proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of the PLM system and processes and implementing changes as necessary.

• Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience

• Manages projects and processes while working independently and with limited supervision

• Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals

• Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex; takes a new perspective on existing solutions

Knowledge & Skills:

• Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management processes i.e. Teamcenter

• Understanding of Engineering releases and related development procedures.

• Good understanding of Change Management within and outside the context of Teamcenter.

• Good understanding of Teamcenter version 12+ server and client-side configuration.

• Good understanding of Teamcenter Active Workspace version 5+.

• Good understanding of manufacturing Bill of Materials.

• Proficient in workflow designs as per business needs.

• Proficiency in various admin utilities, release man, clear locks etc.

• Proficiency in BMIDE, stylesheet customization, ACLs etc.

• Proficiency in server-side deployments.

• Capable of building queries, plmxml exports etc.

• Must have good communication skills written and verbal.

• Question, listen, and observe objectively and insightfully.

• Coordinate, organize, and pay attention to detail.

• Prioritize, coordinate, and follow up with others to meet objectives.

• Learn and apply new technology as needed.

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels inside and outside the company.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Expert Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Skills

• Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data.

• Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.

Experience:

• 10 years or more working on Product Lifecycle management system

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
