Position Overview
The vehicle engineering team collaborates with all R&D areas and Navistar factories to advance the transformation of sustainable mobility. Our team's mission is to uphold vehicle integrity & orchestrate DVP execution. We are responsible for managing program level validation activities, including vehicle and sub-system builds. We lead problem solving of cross-functional engineering issues that arise during new product development. This position requires a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems as well as a process driven problem-solving methodology. We are responsible for understanding the end goal of the vehicle and features to develop the most optimized validation plan and for ensuring uptime of the validation vehicle fleet to secure on-time test plan execution.
Responsibilities
Acts as the Verification & Logistics Manager for new product programs
Integrates, co-manages and executes program level DVP including estimation of development resources
Confirms fleet size, specifies vehicle configurations & plans logistics
Maintains vehicle pedigree throughout program
Ensures vehicle uptime for on-time test execution
Coordinate vehicle retrofits for test readiness
Leads problem solving of cross-functional engineering issues
Manages validation planning including vehicle and sub-system builds
Responsible for supporting multiple projects and leading technical and analytical discussions with cross functional teams
Responsible for understanding the end goal of the vehicle and features to develop the most optimized validation plan
