We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Vandergrift Operations in Vandergrift, PA. This position reports directly to the Superintendent, Maintenance.
Provide engineering expertise and support for maintaining equipment.
Engineer and coordinate capital projects and interface with outside vendors in the process to implement cost effective and timely upgrades to equipment.
Develop standard operating procedures to improve maintenance quality and reduce or eliminate problems. Seek opportunities to solve problems to the root cause, eliminating future failures.
Initiate improvements to the equipment. Use breakdown data to evaluate highest frequency of failures, and then develop strategies to mitigate the problem.
Troubleshoot and inspect problems, analyze and resolve issues accurately and efficiently.
Use predictive technology to drive equipment reliability. Seek opportunities to replace time based PM's with condition based evaluations.
Utilize the RCM process to ensure the plant's equipment reliability and performance functions as required to assist the plant in producing the required level of quality and targeted Cost of Quality

Ability to quickly pick up on computerized maintenance management software and use effectively with a planning process to improve down day repairs.
This is a daylight position, However, must have the ability to work shifts, including weekends, as required.
