This is a full-time year round position working at the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, AZ. The Engineer Luggage Truck Driver is responsible for general maintenance and repair activities associated with the operation of all Xanterra/Grand Canyon Railway facilities. The position will also attend to tour group and individual luggage and Inter-property mail delivery and pick up in a timely manner, ensuring proper procedures for handling luggage and company mail are followed in detail, as needed.

Complete general maintenance assigned maintenance requests, ensuring timely completion, thoroughness and cost effectiveness.
Ensure proper repair and finishing of doors, desk, tables, chairs and other furniture in the organization to ensure safety and comfort of staff and visitors.
Carry out ground keeping tasks to include mowing lawns, weeding flower beds, clearing grasses, removing snow and ice on sidewalks to endure a clean and healthy environment. Handle multiple call-outs or work orders, work independently and perform trade call outs as necessary.
Operate designated heavy equipment safely and efficiently as necessary and directed.
Perform second level maintenance and repairs as related to the preventive maintenance program.
Ability to perform second level trade functions such as electrical motor trouble shooting to 220 volts, plumbing, refrigeration/HVAC, basic boiler operation and kitchen equipment repair.
Perform Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures.
Report maintenance problems in an accurate fashion that require trade specific skill and attention.
Assist less skilled workers in different phases of building, construction and general maintenance and review works performed by them to ensure that they are a good condition.
Transport guests, luggage and company mail as required.
Maintain pick-up and delivery schedules of mail to and from Williams, Xanterra South Rim and The Grand Hotel in Tusayan throughout the day.
Adhere to service and maintenance schedule for vehicle, and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
Use assigned vehicle for pick up/delivery of luggage only, unless directed otherwise.
Complete assigned paperwork accurately and timely.
Maintain key control for all issued keys.
Provide luggage transportation service to guests by taking luggage to and from predetermined pick-up and drop-off points, including tour groups and individual guest parties.
Check luggage, packs, etc. in bell storage area (or truck/trailer) and maintain security of items in storage (or while in route).
Attend to tour group luggage delivery and pick up in a timely manner, ensuring proper procedures for handling tour luggage are followed in detail.
Assist tour drivers and/or tour escorts as necessary with baggage schedule, special requests, etc.
Adhere to all Grand Canyon Railway, South Rim and NPS lost and found procedures.
Maintain South Rim Depot, including cleaning lobby area, restrooms, gutters, drains and windows.
May deliver supplies and materials to various locations and departments within the company.
Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies and procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment in performing assigned tasks.
Represent the company in a positive manner and minimize the impact of maintenance activity on the guests.
Other duties as assigned.
Position requires a valid/clear Arizona Driver's License. Must possess or obtain a Class "A" Arizona Commercial Driver's License within 90 days of employment, and must be able to comply with the Xanterra/GCR Company Vehicle Policy.
Minimum three years' experience in general building maintenance, or in trades such as electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.

Wear protective equipment as required by the job duties.
Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly standing, walking, balancing, climbing, twisting, eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity, handling, wrist motion, bending/ stooping, ascending and descending ladder.
