Engineer, Local Network

This position supports the connectivity to the Local area network / Wide area network and Cloud infrastructure using multilayer and multiple routing protocols to sustain and manage the connectivity. Serves as technical Network support with a focus on Tier 2 & Tier 3 problem troubleshooting and resolution on all Cisco and Palo Alto devices. Documents changes and updates to Network topology diagrams for the overall Network infrastructure.

Essential Functions for this role include:

• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.

• Install, configure, patch/upgrade, maintain network services, equipment, and devices such as Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco AnyConnect, CloudFlare, zero trust (ZTNA), Gigamon

• Managing cloud networking connectivity between AWS, AZURE, OCI and on-prem with BGP

• Secure and manage Network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access.

• Utilize routing protocols including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF WAN protocols. Direct Connect and Express route plus

• Responsible for Cloud technologies and configuration, installation, and troubleshooting connectivity

• Utilization and knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama

• Knowledge of AWS transit gateways (AWS)

• Responsible for the design and optimization of the Network

• Knowledge of NX-OS and IOS Network operating systems

If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:

• BA/BS or equivalent experience

• 5 + years' experience in IT, security or systems support, or network administrator positions knowledge of: Amazon Web services, Mutli-site communications, Site to site Encryption

• Cisco CCNA Certification

• Knowledge of PC/LAN hardware and software implementation

• Experience with network connectivity and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud connectivity and wireless networks

• Strong knowledge of WAN and BGP protocols

• Solid background in hands-on configuring ASR routers, Key servers and encryption.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• ITIL certified

• Cisco ISE

• Wireless connectivity & protocols
