Summary/Objective

The individual must be forward thinking, raise the bar and expectations of the engineering department. This role is responsible for tying together multiple product lines across multiple divisions. They should be able to lead their team to accomplish challenging goals by effective leadership strategies. This individual must be passionate, hardworking and have a sense of urgency for all projects.

This position will be responsible for establishing these values in the team and basic engineering structure, procedure and policies in internal and external areas of engineering. As well as working with other groups to accomplish the goals of the company and meeting expectations of the customers.

Essential Functions

• Lead engineering department and processing documents for all fabrication.

• Overseeing programming of all machinery.

• New SKU creation, routes, and BOMs.

• Training the programming team on all aspects of new and existing machinery.

Competencies

• Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals.

• Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts.

• Ensure all SKUs are programmed for all machinery.

• Responsible for all training within the department.

• Ensure that all machines are programmed in a timely manner.

• Delegate the workload between team members.

Supervisory Responsibility

• Act as a leader of the group, but also perform similar work

• Supervise; assign work to be completed, methods used and take responsibility for all of the group's work

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are decided by the hiring manager. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as needed.

Travel

Travel will be expected 25% of the time.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution

• Auto CAD experience

• SolidWorks experience

• Sigmanest experience

• Robowave experience

• Lantek experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.

• Proven leadership experience in similar industry preferred.

• Public speaking ability preferred.

• Strong organization and time management skills preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
