We're looking for a Design Engineer IV to join our Digital Solutions team that's responsible for designing custom embedded electronic controls where the technology stacks will include device hardware, device software, communications, and may also support cloud platforms and cloud applications. For this specific role, we are looking for design expertise in device
hardware, device software and connectivity. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Design Engineer IV works with customers, product managers, marketing, operations, and sales teams.
AS AN ENGINEER IV, YOU WILL:
Work independently with minimum supervision in designing embedded hardware and software.
Be accountable for overall project responsibility as needed.
Assist sales and marketing by meeting with customers and potential customers to demonstrate our engineering capabilities.
Work as a team with project manager and directly with customer to develop specifications to meet their needs.
Work with customers to provide continuing engineering support during all phases of a design through the life of the product.
Assist production with various engineering related issues arising during production of products that were designed here and others that were designed by customer.
Work on electronic hardware and firmware engineering projects as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent design experience
Six (6 ) or more years' experience with C programming language; microcontroller product development and related electrical engineering field.
Knowledge of CAD systems.
Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
Applied Computer Skills
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Embedded Linux Operating System knowledge a plus
Linux application development experience
Familiarity with Yocto and (BSP) board support packages
