EMERSON Automation Solutions, dba Rosemount Specialty Products LLC, located in East Wenatchee, Washington, is currently looking for a Engineering INTERN to join our team for the summer.

Rosemount Specialty Products LLC, an Industry Leader in Pressure and Temperature Measurement, manufactures highly accurate, state-of-the-art pressure instrumentation, pressure transmitters, temperature probes and sensor for some of the world's most vital and technologically-advanced industries.

Description

Reports directly to Lead Engineer. The Engineering Intern will actively participate in projects related to new product development, process control and process improvement. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
1.New product development, new process implementation, development of procedures, completing problem analysis, job safety analysis, etc.
2.Interfacing with Engineers to introduce new products to the plant and help troubleshoot issues inherent with production and improve manufacturing efficiency.
3.Examine documents such as drawings, change orders and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data.
4.Preparing of reports and memorandums.
5.Communicating with vendors or others outside of the organization.
6.Evaluation of capital investments and assist in preparation of cost justifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ABET Accredited Engineering Program.

The following is preferred:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree

  • Electrical Engineering Degree

  • Software Engineering or Computer Science Degree

  • Junior, Senior, or graduate student standing preferred

  • GPA 3.0 or higher

  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written)

  • Ability to work independently, learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Works in both office and plant environments and may exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, grasp, finger, or otherwise move objects.

Other responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance and emergency, corrective and routine repairs in electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and HVAC equipment. Maintain effective communication with the Chief Engineer and Store Management. Perform other duties as assigned. Macy's uses a scheduling plan that allows our associates to participate in the creation of their work schedules by managing availability and identifying preferences. Additionally, during key events and peak selling times, Macy's may offer additional shifts to our associates, which they may pick up using the self-scheduling tool. Details on Macy's schedule options are available during the interview process. Essential Functions: * Maintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels * Perform emergency, corrective and routine repairs of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems and associated equipment * Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems per the schedule * Maintain routine records of all inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system to ensure compliance with state and federal agencies and local fire marshal regulations. * Work day, evening, night, weekends, and as required by emergency situations when directed by the Chief Engineer or District Facilities Manager * Assist with special projects as assigned * Perform other duties as needed * Follows shortage programs and procedures * Perform these functions in an efficient manner, as directed by the Supervisor * Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Qualifications: Education/Experience: * No specific educational background required. * Minimum of one year of related experience. Knowledge of HVAC systems is preferred. EPA certification and license is preferred. * Strong knowledge and experience in electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical equipment and the maintenance of this equipment. * Must perform work in a safe manner for themselves and others around them. Communication Skills: * Effective written and verbal skills, ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: * Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and able to use a calculator. Reasoning Ability: * Self-started, able to work independently and as part of a team. * Must have good time management skills. Physical Demands: * This position involves constant moving and standing. * Have the ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours. * Must be able to lift minimally 30 lbs. * Work required reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders. * Additionally may involve reaching above eye level. * Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
