POSITION SUMMARY

The primary mission of the Supplier Quality Engineer Intern is to continuously improve safety, quality, business, and manufacturing processes with an emphasis on eliminating process waste. The use of structured quality improvement tools is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Improve processes to reduce common cause variability and eliminate special cause.

2.Establish control plans to prevent process backsliding for consolidation of gains.

3.Perform process capability studies internally and externally.

4.Analyze process constraints and develop standards to overcome constraints.

5.Revise procedures for process improvement.

6.Investigate/analyze and benchmark industry practices for process validation assessments.

7.Coordinate and work cross-functionally with Employee Teams, Quality

8.Engineering, Contracts, Sales and Manufacturing to improve processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain/Operations Management or related field throughout the entire duration of the internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while working independently and efficiently.

  • Ability to collaborate with others on projects.

  • Ability to prioritize work load to meet deadlines.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

This Software Quality Assurance Engineer executes the quality assurance of technology solutions for our IT Enterprise Customer Solutions team that deliver business value and reduce risk across the organization, continuously improving time to market. Job Description Software Quality Assurance Engineers (SQAE) are responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving policies, processes and procedures that deliver products and services of the highest level of quality and reliability for the business and customers. The SQAE also creates, executes and documents the tests necessary to ensure that the application and technical environment meets performance requirements (technical and functional) and free from defects. The SQAE ensures that quality standards are met and adhered to by using their knowledge and quality assurance methods, tools and techniques. The SQAE will resolve, document, and report to management quality problems that arise. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Write technical test cases * Develop automated testing scripts for moderately complex environments. * Understand how technical requirements lead to test cases and be able to write a positive and negative technical test case. * Understand how business requirements lead to test cases and be able to write a positive and negative test case. Ability to write test cases under the direction of others * Design and implement technical Test plans and Test Cases * Review and understand documentation related to projects assigned and provide test estimates * Perform Automation, Smoke / Sanity Test, Functional Test, Integration Test and Regression Test and post implementation test as appropriate for continuous delivery. * Follow defect life cycle in appropriate defect tracking tools * Provides a regular status report to Lead SQA * Defines and prepares test data to support deliverables. Required Experience: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, business, mathematics or related field * 3+ years of applicable experience * Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills * Experience with Test automation and frame work * Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills * Demonstrated execution on mid-large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities Preferred Experience: * Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) framework * Experience with Test Management tools that support agile development like QMetry or Qtest, and Jira * Experience with test automation tools like Selenium * Testing certifications * Ability to train others (less experienced) on both methodologies and technologies * This role can sit 100% remote.
