The Engineer II/III in System Health improves System Reliability by assisting substation apparatus maintenance. The position will require real time emergent and planned engineering support to maintenance organizations to ensure the safest, most reliable and most cost effective repair/replacement or design alternatives.
Support may include but not limited
Preparing engineering procedures
Identification of spare parts
Equipment condition assessment
Test result reviews
Long term equipment replacement programs & plans
Replacement equipment identification for obsolescence
Equipment records maintenance
Procurement engineering support for supply chain
Subject Matter Expert status of assorted substation apparatus
Equipment/Site planned maintenance programs
Troubleshooting equipment issues
Minimum Requirements Engineer II
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or Professional Engineer designation
plus two (2) years working experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess working knowledge of operating and engineering practices, safety rules, company policies, applicable codes, standards, methods and any related union agreements in the area of discipline and or assignment.
May require experience in design, operations or planning of distribution systems, understanding of company resource utilization and computer models used in resource use simulation, probability and economics, excellent technical and analytical skills, working knowledge of transmission systems essential and/or extensive knowledge of excel and other databases used for graphs and charts.
Minimum Requirements Engineer III
Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Professional Engineer designation
plus five (5) years working experience
or 9 years equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess comprehensive knowledge of energy analysis, engineering applications, business, and finance, working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, practices, and methods in the area of individual's discipline.
EIT and Certified Energy Managers certificate preferred.
Must have good understanding of construction, operating and engineering practices; safety rules; company policies and union agreements.
