Position InformationThe Engineer I is an individual contributor involved in existing and new facility design and planning within Gas Operations. The position is also involved in field decisions for the installation/construction of gas facilities. Responsibilities typically include beginning level gas engineering and/or construction projects. The Engineer II is an individual contributor involved in existing and new facility design and planning within Gas Operations. This position is also involved in field decisions for the installation/construction of gas facilities. Responsibilities typically include intermediate to advanced level gas pipeline system engineering. The Distribution Engineer is involved in existing and new facility design and planning within Gas Operations. The incumbent is also involved in field decisions for the installation/construction of gas facilities. Responsibilities typically include advanced level gas engineering, project management and intermediate level supervisory role. These positions are regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) under Title 49 CFR Part 382 and Part 40. Any applicant/employee who performs a DOT covered function or is licensed and would operate a commercial vehicle for the Company will be subject to drug and alcohol testing under the Company's DOT drug and alcohol testing programs. Any employment, transfer, or promotion offer made for this position is contingent upon taking and passing a drug test prior to the commencement of the new role. If an applicant/employee fails the drug test, any offer of employment, transfer, or promotion will be revoked. Responsibilities

Engineer I

  • Evaluate municipality, other utility and private developer plans to assess the need for facility modifications

  • Design and manage projects according to Company and government specifications

  • Prepare parts lists, bills of material, and cost estimates

  • Conduct computer simulations/network analyses to test facility designs or evaluate gas system integrity

  • Conduct research related to facility qualification and upratings

  • Evaluate and select optimum design alternatives

  • Perform preliminary engineering analysis necessary to investigate new projects

  • Perform engineering calculations

  • Review completed designs

  • Coordinate projects with other work groups and departments

  • Communicate project status to appropriate departments

  • Maintain data in accordance with regulatory requirements

  • Write technical instructions and procedures

  • Research information on material, equipment and related costs for project activities

  • Assist with long-term planning initiatives

  • Assist with emergency response activities

  • Assist with emergency response activities. Be subject to "on-call" duty as needed

  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

Minimum Qualifications

Engineer I - This position requires a bachelor's degree in Civilor Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Other Engineering degrees may be considered.

Engineer II - This position requires one to three years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Other Engineering degrees may be considered. This position requires the incumbent to possess a valid driver's license.

Distribution Engineer - This position requires three to five years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Area(s) of specialization may dictate a specific engineering discipline.

Salary DetailsEngineer I: $60,009 - $75,011 Engineer II: $68,256 - $85,320 Distribution Engineer: $74,534 - $93,168

General Summary: Under general supervision, the Child Development Specialist II is responsible for providing referrals to parents seeking child care, and providing technical assistance to families and child care providers. The Specialist will assist in planning and implementing conferences, workshops and training for internal and external cients. The Specialist will also assist child care providers and parents with licensing issues and standards for quality child care programs, and represent CCRC in community outreach projects. The Specialist will plan and implement CCRC's Lending Resource Library programs and maintain and recommend improvements to library resources. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Provide child care plan, consumer education, and technical assistance to child care providers, parents and the community. * Provide child care referrals to parents and/or to the community seeking child care, provider technical assistance to families and other child care issues. * Oversee all aspects of the day- to day operation of the CCRC Lending Resource Library. * Model developmentally appropriate curriculum and practice and act as a resource for participants, quality child care and professional development. * Create and implement library related projects such as story time and other ongoing library outreach and training programs. * Build connections with and maintain resources within the community. * Provide technical assistance to child care providers, parents and/or the community. * Collaborate with other team members on planning and implementing trainings/workshops and conferences throughout the year. * Maintain and ensure data integrity and accuracy for required databases. * Maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agency staff, and the public. * Be flexible and innovative, as the needs of the program evolve (including flexibility to work a non-traditional work schedule - i.e. evenings and weekends), to support departmental and agency programs. * Complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments. Job Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent semester units in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field or any combination of education and experience which would enable the candidate to successfully perform the functions of the position. * Minimum of one (2) years of relevant experience working with children and families preferred. * Knowledge and understanding of Child Development, Developmentally Appropriate Practices, and the Protective Factors strongly desired. * Experience implementing family engagement programs with strength-based approach. * Experience and comfort working with diverse client populations and facilitating conversations with adults (bilingual preferred). * Knowledge of community resources. * Familiarity with child care provider population. * Experience and ability to work with adult learners and. * Ability to use effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. * Familiarity with child care provider population. * Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirement and changes in assignments. * Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to successfully interface with others. * Proficiency in Windows based programs and data entry experience required. * Valid California's Driver's License, reliable vehicle, automobile insurance, and a clean driving record. * Provide documentation of required TB, immunizations (MMR, TDAP, Influenza) and fingerprint clearance.
